Pay It Forward

Sarah Comba, graduate of the Business Administration Diploma program is issuing a challenge to all of her fellow alumni to pay it forward.  Sarah has been returning to the College for the last 10 years to help coordinate the Pay It Forward (PIF) giving challenge.  We canvas the college community for warm clothing items that are then distributed to various community organizations.  This year, she is challenging alumni to set up donation boxes and collect donations at their work.
"Everyone has one pair of socks or an extra hoodie that they don't need," says Sarah "if everyone donated that one item of clothing or a spare toothbrush, it would make a big difference to people who have very little."

Alumni can get involved in the following ways:

1.    Drop off one or more of the high-need items listed below to the KLO Campus on or before 10:00 am on Friday, December 4th

2.    Set up a donation box at your place of work and invite your colleagues to donate – we can send you a copy of the poster to put up with your donation box.   Call us on or before Nov. 30th to make arrangements for us to pick up your donated items OR drop them off on campus.

3.    Challenge your friends and colleagues to Pay It Forward too.  Post a photo or video of yourself issuing the PIF challenge and tag your friends on Facebook.

4.    Be sure to use the hashtags: #PIFOkanaganCollege #onepairofsocks #PIF10
