Maxine Hawes

Early Childhood Education, 1990

Construction Craft Worker, 2017

For Jay Charleyboy, entering the Construction Craft Worker program seemed like a natural fit right from the start. Given the numerous contruction projects happening in the Okanagan, and as a father to 3 daughters, Charleyboy recognized the potential for this program to support his future and family. Launi Skinner

Business Administration Diploma, 1985

After spending more a decade as a senior executive at Starbucks, Launi Skinner returned to Canada in 2008 and is now the CEO at First West Credit Union.  Named one of “Four Women to Watch” by Fortune magazine and “Best Canadian Executive” by the Stevie Awards, Launi is blazing trails all over the place.  Click HERE to read about Launi’s career experience and to get her advice on what she looks for in her team members. 

Zach Andrews

Electronic Engineering Technology Diploma, 2016

For Zach Andrews, the desire for continuous learning and maintaining current education has brought him to Okanagan College not once, but twice. His time at OC also included an impressive performance at the Skills Canada competition where he competed in the Electronics category. With 2 program completions under his belt, he continues to build on his education and broaden his skill set. Paige Schoenfeld

Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours), 2010

When Paige Schoenfeld graduated from the BBA Honours program, she was open to many opportunities applying for jobs at various companies, although the one she most wanted to work at was Ipsos.  Looking back at her first application attempt, Paige is grateful that she didn't get the job she initially applied for.  Six years and an impressive job title later, Paige is an Associate Vice President and loves every minute of her role.  Click here to read our interview with Paige.

Staying connected is key.  Staying ahead of the curve?  Even  more so.  Enter Troy Berg, a graduate of Okanagan College's Network and Telecommunications Engineering Technology (NTEN) program in 2011.  As Manager of Information Technology for Doak Shirreff LLP in Kelowna, Berg is a master of the technology that helps his firm run efficiently and securely.
