Where to Give

Okanagan College educates and trains thousands of learners each year at four main campuses and several centres located throughout the Okanagan Valley and the Shuswap region.  You can direct your donations to many areas, all of which help our students in countless ways.

When you contribute to the annual campaign fund you can contribute directly to a specific fund or department or you can give a much-needed unrestricted or flexible gift. Deans and program chairs use these unrestricted funds for their most pressing initiatives. Generally those needs include student financial assistance, support for new programs, the purchase of books, technology or equipment.

Emergency bursaries were created to help students overcome the financial hardships getting in the way of their education and becoming skilled people needed for our communities.

Okanagan College awards hundreds of scholarships and bursaries to students throughout the year.  Bursaries, scholarships and prizes are all awarded to students who meet selection criteria based on financial need, academic achievement, community involvement or some other specified selection criteria.  These student awards have a direct impact on supporting students.

The Jim Pattison Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Building Technologies and Renewable Energy Conservation was announced by Premier Christy Clark on Monday, Dec. 12 in Penticton at the official opening of the new $28-million building. The name reflects the generosity of Mr. Jim Pattison and his Foundation, which contributed $2.5-million to the Okanagan College Foundation and its community fundraising campaign.
